UNESCO supports national education sectors in developing effective policies and programmes to promote better health and well-being for all children and young people. The UNESCO Health and Education Resource Centre is a core component of UNESCO’s role in generating and communicating knowledge in order to influence policy, practice and government and donor funding priorities.
Through a comprehensive resource library and information exchange service we provide support to ministries of education, development agencies, civil society, researchers and other education partners, to develop effective policies and programmes to promote better health and well-being for all children and young people.
Our services:
- A virtual library of health education policies, programmes and research
- A calendar of upcoming events
- A selection of health and education news from UNESCO and partners
- An enquiry service on request
The UNESCO Health and Education Resource Centre is hosted by the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP). It is updated and maintained by IIEP with the support of UNESCO headquarters, field offices and institutes.
