In Macedonia there is a need for introducing sexuality education in schools. This finding is a result of a research determining the needs of the parents, teachers and students, and reviewing the current school curricula.
Social, personal and health education (SPHE) provides students with a unique opportunity to develop the skills and competence to learn about themselves and to care for themselves and others and to make informed decisions about their health, personal lives, and social development.
The document has been developed by SENSOA, the Flemish expert organisation on sexual health and HIV. It is a provisonal synthesis of the direction that sex education should take.
