Early learning services, schools and tertiary organisations are expected to develop their own pandemic plans to protect students and staff or a possible pandemic. In most cases this will involve reviewing and updating existing emergency management plans, to include a pandemic section.

UNESCO has revised its Sexuality Education and Review Assessment tool (SERAT) to reflect the revised version of the UN International Technical Guidance on Sexuality Education.
Local action is primarily for school administrators, teachers and community leaders. It offers school leaders the organising ideas and activities to identify health issues in their school and community and take steps, through the school, to improve health and learning.
This module of the illustrative learning programme is for grade seven teachers and students, with the aim of providing factual information to both parties so that they can make correct choices in protecting their health and those of others.
