Desde o inicio da epidemia de aids, o Brasil expandiu expressivamente o número de serviços de atenção às pessoas que vivem com HIV/aids (PVHA). Hoje, em todo o país, mais de 600 serviços do SUS prestam assistência ambulatorial às PVHA.
