This paper illustrates how HIV/AIDS is affecting teachers as individuals and as professionals. Teachers are expected to play a major role in combating HIV/AIDS, but at the same time, the results of this study show that they are also being affected by the disease.
Where teachers fear to tread - communicating about HIV/AIDS in Mozambique
In Mozambique teachers have been given a major role in promoting HIV/AIDS awareness and behavioural change among children. Teachers' own experiences and attitudes will influence how they deal with this challenge.
