The testimonies collected provide a snapshot into the lived experiences of youth with disabilities, using methodology that empowers them to tell their own stories. The results of this project will form part of a larger evidence base of key informant interviews and focus group discussions which demonstrate that learners with disabilities often experience bullying throughout their school years. This activity empowered youth with disabilities from Zambia to generate first-hand testimonies of their experiences in order to contribute to a strong evidence base to influence change. It also actively involved them in identifying potential solutions to address, mitigate or prevent violence and bullying in the classroom.
