Integrating disability in the post 2015 development agenda is part of a broader strategy for achieving equity. Inclusive
approaches to education and health are required to ensure equal rights and opportunities, personal autonomy and dignity
to all children, regardless of their social status, gender, age, physical or mental condition, race, religion or sexual
orientation. The purpose of this document is to support the implementation of comprehensive school health and nutrition programmes (SHNP) that are inclusive of children with disabilities. It provides background information and practical examples of how to address the needs of children and adolescents with various disabilities within SHN strategies and activities.
