National guidelines for the facilitation of re-entry of pregnant and married adolescent girls into schools

The Federal Ministry of Education has put in place a strategy to increase children's and especially girls' access to education through the Re-entry guidelines which mandates schools to allow girls who had dropped out of school due to pregnancy, marriage or any other reason back into the school system. Therefore, the purpose of the re-entry guidelines is to find more innovative measures to help prevent the exclusion of young girls from education since reports have shown that among other issues, teenage pregnancy and early marriage are major factors contributing to the high dropout of girls from school.
