The main objective of the Survey on Re-Entry of Pregnant Girls in Primary and Secondary Schools in Uganda (2011) is to collect evidence and articulate policy options to address the re-integration of pregnant girls and child mothers in school in Uganda. More specifically, the objectives include: i) To assess the situation of pregnant girls in
primary and secondary schools; ii) to collect and compile data on the views of different stakeholders on re-entry policy and how it should be effected at local, regional and
national level; iii) to generate practical recommendations, based on concrete data, for drafting of a re-entry policy for pregnant girls and lactating adolescent mothers in an
informed manner; and iv) to provide a basis for strong evidence based policy advocacy on re-entry of child mothers in school.
