This study was undertaken to identify the HIV prevention programmes and practices that have been implemented at HEIs and the extent to which they cohere with good practice as described in the literature.
The conference programme was driven by the presentation of applied case experiences on the following topics: 1. Evaluating HIV/TB/STI prevention projects (e.g. Peer Education, HIV and TB testing, treatment), 2.
The purpose of the study is to record VCT practices and services between June 2003 and June 2004 within the South African higher education sector. These case studies seek to establish a baseline and to reveal valuable lessons learned as well as good VCT practices.
