The theme of the 2021 edition of International Day against Violence and Bullying at School including Cyberbullying is ‘Tackling cyberbullying and other forms of online violence involving children and young people’ to raise awareness and attention of students, parents, other members of the school community, education authorities and a range of sectors of the problem of online violence and cyberbullying, its consequences and the need to put an end to it. This document synthesizes key findings from research on the scope, nature and consequences of cyberbullying and other forms of online violence involving children and young people, as well as recommendations for effective education sector responses, to support the International Day’s call on global awareness.
