This policy brief describes qualitative research conducted in three rural Bangladeshi villages between 2001 and 2003.
This study compares the effectiveness of audio computer-assisted self-interviewing (Audio-CASI) with face-to-face interviews and self-administered questionnaires in collecting sensitive information on risky sexual and other behaviors among young men in urban India.
The projects in Guatemala and Bolivia aimed to improve the SRH of disadvantaged youth, as well as the capacity for the Member Associations (MAs) to reach and effectively serve them.
According to this brief, youth infected with HIV need medical, psychological, and social support, but programs rarely address their specific needs, even as antiretroviral drugs and HIV testing become more available.
Objectives: To determine the prevalence of HIV infection, HIV risk factors, and exposure to national HIV prevention programs, and to identify factors associated with HIV infection among South African youth, aged 15–24 years. Design: A cross-sectional, nationally representative, household survey.
This publication focuses on national efforts to reduce poverty and presents seven arguments for why national public policy makers should give more attention to young people, if these efforts are to be successful.
