School meal programs aim to address multiple objectives, most commonly to improve children’s nutrition and health and to meet education goals by facilitating and incentivizing children’s school attendance and learning.

This memo addresses the case for a new financing coordination mechanism with a remit to align and mobilize additional financing in support of national efforts to expand the reach and improve the quality of school meal programs.
