We aim to clarify the degree to which the WHO's Health Promoting Schools (HPS) framework is reflected in the national policies of eight target countries and the issues surrounding its successful implementation.

This study examined school feeding policy objectives across multiple countries, drawing on data from the Global Survey of School Meal Programs, and identified 23 relevant policies.
