The purpose of this framework is to raise attention to the need for the acceleration of WASH in Schools (WinS) interventions to achieve SDG targets. It provides UNICEF country offices and sector partners with guidance on key accelerators to make progress towards achieving the SDG targets by 2030. It aims to stimulate and galvanize collaborative partnerships around WinS to collectively address the remaining challenges. It also aims to inspire and encourage political leaders and policymakers to prioritize WinS in their national plans. The Framework is the basis on which UNICEF HQ, regional and country offices will work together to ensure coherence of the WinS programmes to reach all school children and improve their educational and health outcomes.
