The overarching goal of this Policy is in accordance with the Lesotho National HIV and AIDS Policy of 2006 and is intended to mobilize the participation of every stakeholder in the sector in an inclusive, comprehensive response. Specifically, the goal of this Policy is to prevent the further spread of the epidemic; to provide and facilitate treatment, care and support services; and to reduce the impact of HIV and AIDS on education through the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of this response, at all levels of the education system. It applies to learners, employees, managers, employers and other providers of education and training in all formal and non-formal learning institutions, at all levels of the education system in the Kingdom of Lesotho.
