The contextual data available through TIMSS 2023 can be used to derive patterns of well-being and school climate, which allow exploring systems-level questions about the quality of national education systems. The report begins with an overview of the concept of school climate health and how aspects of this construct are represented in the TIMSS 2023 Context Questionnaires. The report then presents the results of a multilevel latent class analysis (MLCA) that explores patterns among indicators from the context questionnaires to define clusters representing different profiles of school climate health in Grade 4. Clusters are further investigated by relating them to average socioeconomic status within schools. Averages of school-level mathematics and science achievement by cluster are also presented for each country. The report concludes with key takeaways and suggestions for future research related to school climate health in TIMSS.
