The Sexual and Reproductive Health of Young Victorians is a report resulting from a collaborative project between the Family Planning Victoria, the Royal Women's Hospital and the Centre for Adolescent Health in Victoria, Australia. The goal of the project was to further the community's understanding of young Victorians' sexual and reproductive health - and to propose ways in which it might be improved. In particular, it wished to summarise the available evidence base and to identify gaps in current practice and policy in order to provide direction for future program and policy development that will improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes in young people. It provides information around confidential health care to minors, sexually transmitted infections, teenage pregnancy, contraception and abortion services, and school-based sexuality education. The report intends to be used by communities, educators, health professionals, policy makers and agencies who work with young people to inform their practice, program and policy development.
