Online violence is escalating globally, affecting millions of learners as children and young people navigate digital spaces, shaping how they learn, connect, and express themselves. The complex nature and wide-ranging consequences of online and technology-facilitated violence call for holistic, future-proof systemic prevention and response efforts. Education systems are at the frontline of addressing this growing global challenge.

UNESCO, together with Safe Online, Plan International and UN Girls’ Education Initiative (UNGEI), is organizing a three-part learning webinar series to explore how education can contribute to holistic, cross-sectoral responses to address online and technology-facilitated violence. The series culminates in a global symposium in November 2025, linked to the International Day against violence and bullying at school including cyberbullying.
