Cambodia Country Report for the 2011-2012 Education Sector HIV and AIDS Global Progress Survey.

The Education Strategic Plan (ESP) 2009- 2009-2013 review aims to ensure linkages between education policies and strategies with development programs and actions as well as between planning and budgeting.

This Policy was developed to ensure that implementation of child rights which are universally recognised and strengthening the quality and effectiveness of basic education.

Cambodia's Most at Risk Young People Survey (MARYPS) 2010 is a follow up survey of the Youth Risk Behavior Survey conducted in 2004.

<p>The Ministry recognizes the important role education plays in reducing the spread of HIV and its responsibilities to provide guidance to its employees and others working education sector in Cambodia in providing effective education to the youth of Cambodia on HIV and AIDS.

The Greater Mekong sub-Regional Workshop on Strengthening the Education Sector Response to School Health, Nutrition (SHN) and HIV&AIDS Programmes took place from the 5th to the 9th March 2007, in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

This strategy provides the overall planning framework for the MoEYS response to HIV during the period 2008-2012.

As Cambodia was returning to peace in the early 1990's, HIV/AIDS reached the war-torn Kingdom. With around 3.5% of the adult population aged from 15 to 49 already infected, the Kingdom of Cambodia is facing today the highest rate of infection in Asia.
