This document is based on these school-based AIDS education programmes for which the effectiveness in terms of increased awareness amongst the students has been evaluated by external agencies. This document describes three models of HIV/AIDS preventive education programmes, each of which has been tested for efficacy and its relevance to the Indian milieu.
