This report is one of a set of a series of Education Division of the Overseas Development Administration (now DFID). It sets out to describe current policy and practice related to health and HIV/AIDS education in primary and secondary schools in Africa and Asia.

This paper summarizes the main points of the strategic plan for the education sector in Ghana. It outlines the goals and the proposed interventions.
The study sought to unearth the special needs of HIV/AIDS orphans in orphanages and homes with emphasis on education, food, shelter, clothing and affection and guidance and counselling needs. It also tried to make recommendations on how these needs could be met.
