Using the U-Report platform, this report collects perspectives from young people between the ages of 13 and 19 years about their food choices and food environments in and around their school and within their local community.

The Government of Sri Lanka, in partnership with UNICEF and other stakeholders, committed to a comprehensive assessment of school nutrition across the country.

Across 13 countries, 1,235 children shared their experiences of school meals with child researchers. Their voices carried a clear message: school meals matter to us.
