The Gambia, Home-Grown School Meals Programme: Impact Evaluation

This report presents the results from an impact evaluation conducted in the context of the WFP school meals programme in The Gambia. The evaluation took place in the context of the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) -financed Home-Grown School Feeding Programme. The evaluation began in October 2022. In alignment with the pre-analysis plan, the evaluation focused on a subset of 92 schools that had no recent experience with school meals programmes. The evaluation period began when the first such meals were provided to students in January 2023 and concluded with the recording of student outcomes in October of the same year.
