SCOPE OVC Project: Strengthening Community Partnerships for Empowerment of Orphans and Vulnerable Children

This a review of the SCOPE OVC Project in Zambia. The main objective of the project has been to strengthen community led initiatives and establish community based and led reponses to OVCs. This is inrecognition of the fact that community led initiatives are likley to have long lasting impact within communities. Through working with the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Sports, Youth and Child Development, UNICEF, Minodolo Ecumenical Foundation and many others, SCOPE OVC is mitigating the impact of HIV/AIDS on OVCs in Zambia by mobilizing, scaling up and strengthening community led reponses and programs benefiting OVCs.
