"Sexualidades, prazer em conhecer" is a Brazilian sex education project conceived for adolescents in secondary schools. Its objective is to allow young people to build concepts related to sexuality, to position themselves against misconceptions as well as to promote new attitudes between men and women. The program content is organised around the themes of sexuality, gender, pleasure, citizenship, violence and drug abuse. This teacher's book is a very comprehensive document addressing the psychological, biological and moral issues related to the above-mentioned themes. It provides overviews of the history of the various notions (going back as far as Ancient Greece), detailed definition of terms used, literary references, as well as extracts from interviews with experts.
