This "Primary Health and Family Life Education Curriculum" was approved and edited by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in 2006.

This "Secondary school curriculum" is the national curriculum guide for teachers at secondary schools. It is the result of seven years of development and revision activity approved and edited by the Ministry of Education in 2009.

The Government of Trinidad and Tobago has developed a National Strategic Plan (NSP) which aims to reduce the incidence of HIV infections in Trinidad and Tobago and to mitigate the negative impact of HIV and AIDS on persons infected and affected in Trinidad and Tobago.
