This education booklet is produced by Soul City under the multi-media health and development programme and is aimed at 12-18 year olds in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland. It addresses the HIV and AIDS and Tuberculosis pandemic in sub-saharan Africa by positively informing adolescents about sexual behaviours in order to reduce the incidence of teenage pregnancy, HIV and other STD's. It deals with a range of issues that affect and has an impact on sexual decisions and choices that young people make. This magazine is intended both for individual use, as well as, supplementary teaching material on STD/STIs. It includes written stories dealing with a range of relevant life skills issues, guidance and advice. Also included at the back of the magazine is a page on available resource centers and support groups. The content of this booklet could be easily used by educators, teachers and teenagers in secondary school, as it tackles different practical issues such as: 1) What is TB? 2) TB can be cured; 3) How do I know if I have TB? 4) Treatment for TB; 5) Living a healthy life with TB; 6) The workplace; 7) Community action; 8) Government action; and 9) List of places to help you.
