On World AIDS Day 2018, HIV testing is being brought into the spotlight. And for good reason. Around the world, 37 million people are living with HIV, the highest number ever, yet a quarter do not know that they have the virus.
Without addressing HIV-related stigma and discrimination, the world will not achieve the goal of ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030. The global partnership’s goal is to reach zero HIV-related stigma and discrimination.
The global trend towards smaller families is a reflection of people making reproductive choices to have as few or as many children as they want, when they want.
This paper provides evidence of the potential beneficial effects of CSE on attitudes, knowledge, and behaviors regarding sexual and reproductive health among adolescents. In addition, it identifies areas that should be strengthened to increase the positive impact of CSE.
Recognizing the continued vulnerability of young persons within the Caribbean region to the threat posed by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, the Pan Caribbean Partnership Against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP) sought to mobilize resources to aid in mitigating this risk.
