This handbook was developed by Integrated Women and Youths Empowerment Centre (IWAYEC), in collaboration with the Education in Emergencies (EiE) Sector, as part of its commitment to promoting child protection and gender equality in schools and learning spaces. It was specially created to help school children understand what Gender-Based Violence (GBV) means, how to prevent it, how to respond safely, and where to seek help. IWAYEC believes that every child deserves to learn in a safe, inclusive, and protective environment. Using simple and child friendly language, this handbook teaches children about their rights, raises awareness about different forms of violence, and encourages peaceful and respectful relationships between girls and boys in schools and communities.
