Steps Together is a programme for a safe school environment and prevention of bullying and violence at school. The analysis and external evaluation of the programme pilot phase showed that the results for schools become visible after at least two school years of work on the programme, in which students, parents, teachers and management are gradually involved and the school receives mentoring support. Through the mentoring support the schools recognize the programme as their own and acquire systematic skills for managing the process and planning the prevention with their own resources. The vision for scaling up the programme is to reach at least 100 new schools in two school years who realize that the problem of violence at school has a solution, and this is only possible when the entire school community is involved through systematic and planned work in the long term.
