This report describes a four month experiment to bring information technology to bear on the problem of HIV/AIDS in southern Africa.

This survey was designed to shed light on how South African youth view their lives today and what they think about their futures, with a particular focus on HIV/AIDS and sexual behaviour.

The aim of this case study was to document the effects of HIV/AIDS on the University of Nairobi personnel, operations and resource use. The study was of a descriptive nature and relied mostly on qualitative methodoloies such as interviews, group discussions and the analysis of documents.

HIV is widely regarded as a disease of poverty and ignorance. However, within sub-Saharan Africa, more developed countries and sub-populations appear to have higher levels of HIV prevalence.

The purpose of this national assessment of children and families affected by HIV/AIDS is threefold: to review Mozambiques's overall programming and policy for orphans and other children made vulnerable by the AIDS epidemic, to identify opportunities for development of community-based respons

This paper confines its analysis primarily to issues of process, structure and content. Information was collected from government and agency documents and from respondents at national, provincial, district and schools level. The paper explores national structures and plans.

This study aims to contribute to the understanding of the problem of orphans and vulnerable children. It evaluates the impact of the crisis on the educational and nutritional status of orphans.

This document is a report of the African Leadership Consultation, which took place in Johannesburg, September 2002.

This document looks at the impact and consequences of the HIV/AIDS epidemic on children. Different responses to the OVC crisis are put forward such as promoting public awareness and mobilising leadership and resources.
