Sexual diversity and education in Brazil: LGBT inclusive educational policies

Body gender and sexual diversity issues are highly controversial in the context of education policies. The authors take gender identity or sexual orientation as a social relations analyzer and look in detail at some of the critical challenges in the process of building and implementing a democratic state and policies for school inclusion and democratization. The objective is to find mechanisms and strategies that go in two directions: one aimed at preventing discriminatory practices and another directed at promoting and recognizing diversity.
