HIV and AIDS have become endemic. Teachers like other workers spend most of their time in a day at the work place. Hence there is the need for GNAT to protect those infected and to educate its membership to prevent further infections. GNAT as a union having accepted that there is the need to protect its membership including those infected and affected by HIV and AIDS is pledging to the successful implementation of the HIV and AIDS policy between GES Management, GNAT Executive and members, as well as students and community organizations within a national framework and the active involvement of workers infected and affected by HIV and AIDS.
