Life skills education. Teacher's guide for schools in Swaziland

This document was prepared by the Department of Educational Testing Guidance and Psychological Services (DETGPS) in the Ministry of Education in Swaziland, so as to help children face the challenges in this era of HIV and AIDS, substance abuse, etc. This guide has been prepared for teachers in schools to provide students with the skills needed to face and cope with difficult circumstances. It is divided into two parts: Part one presents an overview of the concept of life skills, its objectives and why it is necessary in schools. Part two defines and discusses the 'life skills' topic in detail, coupled with lessons and activities. Also included, is a methodology that is mostly recommended for life skills education.
