Building on information gathered during a previous survey (2000), this survey provides an update and overview of support to school health and nutrition (SHN) programmes in low income countries.
HIV/AIDS programmes in schools ultimately intend to decrease high risk sexual behaviour. One factor facilitating this outcome is a strong health promoting environment in the school.
The scourge of abuse is at the moment a major challenge to the country's schools and communities at large. This study highlights findings on children vulnerable to abuse, those that are exposed to abuse and the circumstances surrounding such situations.
