The purpose of the manual, in order to prevent children and young adults from developing risk behaviours, is that universities and other teacher education institutions incorporate HIV prevention and response in the entire teacher education program.
The purpose of the manual is to guide teachers to have a better understanding of the presentation of Life Skills as a subject. The main target users of this manual are School Counsellors, Life Skills Teachers and Subject Heads.
This guide was developed by PATH as part of the Kenya Adolescent Reproductive Health Project (KARHP) Tuko Pamoja ("We are together") series. It is intended to be used by peer educators facilitating discussion groups with in- and out-of-school youth.
