The book was written for adolescents aged 14 to 19, to help them cope with challenges and decisions they may face during the transition period from childhood to adulthood.
This guide provides step-by-step information on designing a participatory appraisal with adolescents to analyze their sexual and reproductive health-related concerns, and on using participatory learning and action (PLA) tools for this analysis.
Choices is written for young people between the ages of 10 and 24 years; for peer educators and youth leaders; for teachers, health care workers and parents and anyone who is helping young people to grow up as fulfilled and responsible human beings with a sexual and social life.
This document is one of the materials developed during the course of the "Kafue Adolescent Reproductive Health Project" (KARHP) in Zambia. It is designed to train and guide parents and older educators in leading community-based education sessions with community members.
