Policies & Strategies

10 p.

COVID-19 has resulted in Ministries of Education across the world, including Namibia, having to Re-think, Re-imagine, Re-innovate and Re-design the provisions of education in a way that best meets the needs of all learners and teachers. Resilience is defined as the capacity to recover or bounce back from difficult situations and this plan is specifically designed to assist the education sector to recover losses incurred during the 2020 school year. The Resilience Plan does not replace the basic education curriculum, but rationalized syllabuses have been developed with a focus on priority outcomes to support teachers to address key skills and competencies to prevent learners from falling further behind, and set them up for success going forward. The plan seeks to mitigate the shortcomings in teaching and learning outcomes during the year 2020.
