National safe school policy (NSSP) 2024-2029

This National Safe Schools policy sets out how the Government, schools and community can work together to ensure the protection of children and students from harm or risk of harm caused by others. The purpose of this policy is to: Appraise Principals and Teachers and school communities of their legal and professional responsibilities in relation to safeguarding children; Provide guidance for all schools on promoting a safe, respectful and supportive school environment; Identify strategies for the prevention of all forms of threats and violence against children in schools; Strengthen coordination among relevant institutions on child protection and school safety and security.
