Suggested indicators for the monitoring of SRH National Programmes and Strategies for the acceleration of the universal access to SRH in line with the WHO EURO Regional Action Plan for Sexual and Reproductive Health

This publication defines monitoring indicators to track the implementation of the national Sexual and Reproductive Health Programmes and Action Plans. It provides countries with a harmonized approach to the national monitoring frameworks, drawing on indicators from existing monitoring frameworks such as the Global indicator framework for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the UNECE Monitoring Framework for the ICPD Programme of Action (ICPD+25) and the Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health (2016-2030), thereby limiting the creation of new indicators and need for duplicate monitoring. It includes the shortlist of SRH indicators, their definitions and potential data sources and the methodology to select the indicators.
