This report presents findings from a project designed to identify components and principles that influence HIV/AIDS peer education programme quality and effectiveness, as well as gaps in and priorities for operation research. The project was coordinated by UNAIDS and the Horizons project and implemented with the Jamaican Ministry of Health, PATH; AIDSMark/PSI,IMPACT/FHI and USAID. The project aimed to be a participatory and comprehensive analysis of the strengths and limitations of peer education.
