The overall goal of the ‘Ending School Related Gender Based Violence (SRGBV) project’ was to encourage schools, communities and the State to actively promote the right of girls to have access to education that is free from violence and discrimination in Nsanje district.
Concern Worldwide has initiated a project called Ending School Related Gender-Based Violence in Malawi to run from 2012 to 2015.
Gender Based Violence (GBV) in and around schools is now widely recognized as a serious global phenomenon that is a fundamental violation of human rights and a major barrier to the realization of all children’s rights to education.
This case study is based on in-depth qualitative research conducted over six months by Concern Worldwide in the central province of Manica. It looks at how Concern Mozambique has addressed issues related to HIV and AIDS within its education programme.
