Situational analysis on early and unintended pregnancy in Eastern and Southern Africa

The situational analysis presents the latest data on the magnitude of Early and unintended pregnancy (EUP) and the impact on girls’ education in the ESA region. It provides an analysis of policy and programme responses to EUP and reviews relevant legislation in 10 ESA countries (Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe). In addition, the analysis offers specific recommendations for improving responses to EUP at regional, national and local levels.
