This is a District Education Management Information System (DEMIS) Toolkit for Zimbabwe which was prepared by UNESCO Harare in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Culture (Zimbabwe), the National AIDS Council and UNAIDS.
The terms of reference of this study defined its overall objective as supporting the Ministry of Education, Sport and Culture (MOESC), to assess the impact of HIV/AIDS on its ability to meet its mandate.
Human Immune-deficiency Virus (HIV) started to spread in Zimbabwe in the early 1980s with the first case of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) identified in 1985.
