As one of the Sub-Saharan Countries, Lesotho is faced with the scourge of high new HIV infections, astounding early and unintended pregnancies (EUP) and child marriage.

The overarching goal of this Policy is in accordance with the Lesotho National HIV and AIDS Policy of 2006 and is intended to mobilize the participation of every stakeholder in the sector in an inclusive, comprehensive response.

The key objective of the School Health and Nutrition Policy is to guide, protect, and promote healthy measures for all learners in schools. The policy will address these key areas;

Children in sub-Saharan African countries face higher exposure to gender-based violence (GBV) compared to their counterparts in other world regions (United Nations Children’s Fund [UNICEF], 2014). When GBV occurs in schools, it severely endangers access to education.

Comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) promotes young people’s healthy sexual decisions. This study assessed the level of provision of CSE in schools in ten sites in six Southern African countries from the perspectives of learners and teachers.

The present study considers how school violence and bullying is being addressed in Eastern and Southern Africa within policies and programmes in the region.

The specific purpose of the research study is to generate evidence on how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted adolescents’ and young people’s access to and realization of their SRHR.
