Sex workers are amongst those most affected by HIV and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) issues in Ethiopia. Stigma and discrimination towards sex workers affects their ability to access SRHR information, education and services.
This document is divided into six parts (Part I-VI). Part I covers (a) the study background including objectives, methodologies and activities; and (b) an overview of the HIV situation among young people and adolescents in the Africa region.
The Government of Ethiopia is committed to improving the reproductive health status of young Ethiopians, 10-24 years old. This adolescent and youth reproductive health strategy reaffirms that commitment by setting forth its priorities and agenda for the next decade.
