This review examines the opportunity for digital sexuality education in East Asia and the Pacific by considering in-person sexuality education in the region, the digital ecosystem and young people’s behaviour in these spaces, existing digital sexuality education platforms and the impact of these media, and potential child protection issues. Recommendations provided, for the design and implementation of digital sexuality initiatives, highlight the importance of ensuring content quality through comprehensive technical guidance, digital literacy and citizenship education; taking a positive approach with age-appropriate, appealing content that emphasizes healthy relationships, gender equality and inclusion; collaborating with multiple stakeholders to develop engaging and innovative solutions; and scaling up interventions when evidence demonstrates a positive impact.
