Since the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), the HIV/AIDS epidemic has worsened dramatically. Looking at what has transpired since the ICPD conference, this report discusses the particular vulnerability of women, children and young people to HIV and describes strategies that have been developed to meet their needs. It looks at work in-progress and future challenges. From lessons learned, it identifies successful approaches to HIV prevention.
