This workshop aimed at bringing together a wide range of agencies working to provide care, compassion and preventive education to children vulnerable to HIV/AIDS in the Mekong sub-region in order to share lessons learned and draft an agenda for further action - both at the policy and legislative level as well at the level of project implementation. The focus of the workshop was on strengthening partnerships between agencies, aiming at a better understanding and clearer division of tasks and roles. In particular, the workshop aimed at kick-starting stronger coordination and collaboration between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Welfare/Affairs, community-based groups and NGOs working in this field, the religious sector, and groups representing people living with HIV/AIDS to work towards fulfilling the UNGASS goals.
